So you’ve decided to elope in Alaska!
You want to get lost in a day spending intentional time with your favorite person while taking in the epic landscapes of Alaska.
Above all else you're craving a real life experience together.
But, now that you can go anywhere and do anything, you might be feeling overwhelmed...
After a quiet morning of sipping coffee together, B & R departed on a private helicopter ride up to secret canyons. They pointed to tall peaks and waterfalls, squealing with excitement on the ride up. We landed at a secluded glacier, where they shared their vows amidst the deep blue pools. They went from belly laughs to tears as the sun peaked out from behind the clouds. B cheered on R as she took a celebratory sip of glacial water after signing their marriage license. The day ended with the pilot catching the bouquet!

Shhh.... don't tell anyone from Texas! Alaska is very big, and yet, everyone is getting married in the same spots, over and over again. But not here! I will curate options and adventures that are custom to what you want to see and feel on your day. I'll make sure they're secluded and oh so beautiful!
Move over Google, I've got it from here!
All that research is too much for one person to do! Let me take that off your plate so you can get back to your favorite adventure, or pizza and a movie. I will create a custom planning guide with honeymoon ideas, elopement day logistics, food recs, the coolest cabin finds, marriage license info, and so much more! The best part, it's all made just for you!
I get it, there are a lot of perceived extremes with Alaska weather, and well... they're not always wrong, Alaska can have some crazy weather! Also, packing for an epic adventure elopement can feel daunting. As a local, I provide in-depth personalized packing list based on your locations, the adventures you have planned, and the time of year.
I will be your personal wildlife body guard. I am here to help make whatever needs to happen happen. Need someone as sacrifice if we encounter a bear? You're out of luck, that's where my service ends! How about instead I bring bear spray so you don't have to choose between me and your person!
Remember above how we discussed how big Alaska is? If you tried to research and plan all of this alone, you might need to quit your day job! Lucky for you I live in Alaska, and I believe sharing is caring! Let me show you all the secret spots, hook you up with the best vendors, and of course making sure that all of this is tailored perfectly for the two of you!
I will cheer you on, hold your dress, pass you a tissue, and cry right along side you. I am as committed as you are to making your day perfect. But it doesn't stop there, I will help you pack, bring back up gear, fix your dress if it breaks, or redo you hair if it comes loose!
If you need anything I'm there for you!
I deliver a sneak peek of 20-30 images within 12-24 hours, typically that evening!
She stayed in contact with us months leading up to the wedding and bouncing ideas off of us to try and get a feel of our personalities so she knew what to capture, let me tell you she knew what she was doing!! All of the pictures she sent to us have been absolutely amazing! We could not of gotten or asked for a better wedding photographer! Do yourself a favor and book with her and you will have no worries what so ever! Thank you for everything Christine!

She showed us some amazing locations and guided us to look our best in them. Christine was extremely accommodating, and made sure we got everything we wanted - it was the perfect day.
"We were so happy to share our special day with her"

If you haven't noticed yet, Alaska is huge, and everywhere has it's own unique charm and feel. With that said, I am willing to go on record and say that Juneau, the Capital, is the best place to elope. It's a happy mix between the tiny towns that only have one grocery store, and the larger cities that honestly just feel like another city. My top reasons for thinking Juneau is the best are; accessibility and proximity (you're smack dab in the mountains, and have 360 views of towering mountains), it has it all (glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, fields, mountains, ocean, beaches...etc.), it's a hidden gem in Alaska (not even all Alaskans know about it!), and the people are amazing (everywhere you go, you'll be welcomed by incredible people). While the bigger cities are beautiful and have benefits, for a couple who wants intimate adventure why wouldn't you go somewhere where no matter where you are you can be alone in a forest, on a mountain or beach within 5 minutes?
Considering that our state is so large and we have many different climates this question can be addressed more specifically as we plan. However, something to note, Alaska is not buried in snow all year, and it can get pretty warm here! Southeast Alaska is a temperate rainforest, that means we get moody fog rolling through the mountains, extra vibrant colors on glaciers and mountain sides, and we get a lot of rain, so everything is lush and green! Interior Alaska is a little more dry, but much colder in the winter. Also, our weather changes as the day goes on many different times, there is a chance you could get all four seasons in one day! With that I recommend packing layers, and waterproof shoes and jackets. I'll provide umbrellas so don't worry about those!
You can get to Alaska one of four ways; (or a mix of a few!)
Airline - (Alaska is the way to go, ask me how to get one ticket free and a free check bag… who can argue with that!).
Ferry - the Alaska Marine Highway, it’s a great way to get to take in the views of Southeast Alaska but be prepared for three days on a small boat, okay food, and no cell service or internet (it actually is a really beautiful trip!) or
Cruise ship - this is the most common way to get to Alaska, and while you time in port may be limited that doesn’t mean your adventure can’t be grand!
Car - this is the option for the most adventurous, and don't forget to pack your passport, you'll have to pass through Canada!
There are many companies that offer helicopter tours to the nearby Glaciers, that is the easiest way to get on a glacier, the other ways include various levels of hikes!
One of my favorite services I provide is sending you several high resolution sneak peeks within 12-24 hours (I truly strive for same day) of your adventure session or wedding. I call this photo tax, your reward for being photographed! Plus we are all excited to see and share those photos! The full gallery will be finished within 2-3 weeks
It's totally up to you! Alaska can have muddy trails and the Muskeg is pretty squishy, therefore, if you choose not to I recommend getting some nice rain jackets or warm sweaters (think Patagonia or similar) that are white and black/dark grey or blue that you can hike in. You will need comfortable and waterproof hiking shoes either way. Changing when you reach the viewpoint is an option! I have a pop-up tent if you prefer more privacy!
It's totally up to you! I recommend no more than 10 people, however, it can absolutely just be the two of you also! If you're bringing guests I recommend that you book at least the Full day package so that you get plenty of time to adventure just the two of you as well as celebrate with your loved ones!
